These special custom cufflinks were made as a gift from a bride to her groom. The bird motif comes from the design of their wedding invitations, and the use of the sapphire and diamond in the birds' eyes also has a meaningful significance. They were taken from old articles of jewelry from the groom's deceased father and mother, respectively.
