The Liz Ring is the result of several design consultations, the mission of which was to display the uniquely beautiful fancy purple sapphire center stone in an engagement ring with sophisticated yet understated elegance. And the design also had to work within the context of being a matching set with a wedding band. We settled on this ring style, with a horizontal center stone orientation and graduated channel-set diamonds. Notice the varying width shank, which is widest at the top and bottom and narrowest in the middle. A matching wedding band (to be made later) has an oppositely varying width and will fit puzzle-like, flush against the side of this ring.
